Falcon Mode: Skills and Abilities

The Elf Beast Mode is a skill that can only be used by an Elf, allowing the transformation to endow more power as well as chances to acquire a special attack skill, the [Elven Magic Missile]. 1. Falcon
The Elven character who has transformed into a Falcon using the Beast Mode will become more powerful with various stats temporarily enhanced. Furthermore, the character will also be able to display special ability in terms of Defense towards the opponent’s attack.
2. Elf Beast Mode
Once you’ve acquired the Elf Beast Mode, you will find [Beast Mode] in your Skill window.
The Beast Mode includes [the Fury of Connous], a skill that allows transformation into a Falcon, [Elven Magic Missile], a special skill only for the Elves, and 6 passive skills.
1) The Fury of Connous
An Elf can enter the Beast Mode using the Fury of Connous. However, the Beast Mode can be applied only once a day in Erinn Time, and the duration of the Beast Mode depends on the character’s age as well as the number of his/her rebirth.
The character’s features displayed when he/she enters the Beast Mode depend on the Fury of Connous. When the related skill is below rank B, the character will transform into a [Falcon].
When the Fury of Connous is above rank A, the character will transform into the [Falcon Justice].
When the Fury of Connous is above rank 5, the character will transform into the [Falcon Wave].
When the Fury of Connous is above rank 1, the character will transform into the [Falcon Sage], the final phase of the transformation.
* Color of the feathers
The color of the feathers depends on the character’s hair color. In other words, if the character has blue hair, the color of the feathers will be in the tone of blue.
2) Passive Skill
The [Passive Skills] are skills that are automatically applied. There are 6 passive skills that can activate when an Elf enters the Beast Mode, including the armor of Connous.
However, of the 6 passive skills, the following three skills (the Connous Natural Shield, Connous Heavy Stander, and Connous Mana Reflector) activate randomly:
- Randomly activated passive skills
The Connous Natural Shield, the Connous Heavy Stander, and the Connous Mana Reflector are skills that enhance Defense against long range attacks, melee attacks, and magic attacks respectively. But note that these skills do not ALWAYS activate, but rather at random.
- Persistently activated skills
The Armor of Connous, the Mind of Connous, and the Sharpness of Connous are skills that enhance various stats when in Beast Mode.
The Armor of Connous enhances Defense and Protection, and the Mind of Connous enhances Max MP and Intelligence, while the Sharpness of Connous enhances Critical, Balance, and Dexterity.
3) Special Race Skill, the [Elven Magic Missile]
The Elven Magic Missile is a special skill that can be used only when an Elf enters the Beast Mode.
A. Using the Elven Magic Missile
In order to use the Elven Magic Missile, you must remain in the Beast Mode and be equipped with a bow-type weapon or a wand (Combat Wand and Healing Wand excluded).
When you use the Elven Magic Missile while you are in Beast Mode, equipped with an appropriate item, you will be able to see the elemental properties of fire, ice, and electricity magic being concentrated towards the character. Also, the force of the concentrated magic increases with time.
At the same time, you will see a spinning disk comprised of red, white, and blue.
When the Elven Magic Missile activation is complete, either click the opponent you wish to attack or press the CTR key and left-click to aim the opponent, at which point the disk will stop spinning as you make your attack.
Depending on which color the arrow points at, the elemental property of the Elven Magic Missile will vary. Red indicates fire while the blue and white represent electricity and ice, respectively.
For example, if the disk stops when the arrow is pointing at red, the attack will consist of the elemental property of fire.
However, if you do not engage in an attack within a certain amount of time while the disk is spinning, the skill will be automatically cancelled.
* After using the Elven Magic Missile or the cancellation of the skill, the subsequent application of Elven Magic Missile will be unavailable for 7 seconds.
B. The Color Distribution
Depending on the elemental property of the item with which the character is equipped, the distribution of the colors on the disk will fluctuate.
For example, holding a Fire Wand or being equipped with an item with the Fire Elemental enchant will yield an increase of the red portion.
For a chance to adjust the distribution of the colors on the disk to your preference, select the special weapon in accordance with the attack you have in mind.
C. Elven Magic Missile Attack
Following are the images illustrating how each elemental property functions.
- The elemental property of fire
When an Elven Magic Missile possessing the elemental property of fire is used to attack, you will shoot out a flame which will inflict damage on your opponent; the trail of the flame will also inflict damage, not to mention the subsequent explosion which will inflict further damage.
- The elemental property of ice
A mass of ice will be shot out at your opponent when you use the Elven Magic Missile possessing the elemental property of ice; like the flame mentioned above, the trail of ice will freeze the monsters, disabling their mobility, and the subsequent blizzard will inflict damage.
- The elemental property of electricity
When the Elven Magic Missile possessing the elemental property of electricity is used, the opponent will incur damage from the lightning explosion. Other monsters near the explosion will also incur damage.
D. The Damages of the Elven Magic Missile
The damage the Elven Magic Missile can inflict on an enemy becomes more powerful as you advance your Elven Magic Missile rank and other magic skill ranks that are related to the elemental properties of the Elven Magic Missile.
Also, when an enchant of the same nature as the elemental property of the Elven Magic Missile is applied on the weapon, the damage also becomes amplified. The damage will increase as the force of the magic being concentrated increases.
Lastly, the damage is also affected by the elemental property of the wand or the bow you are holding.
3. Skill Ranks
You will earn 10 EXP every time your rank of the Fury of Connous levels up. You can either apply the EXP to advance your rank of the Fury of Connous or use it to enhance other skills related to the Beast Mode.
Press ‘S’ to open the Skill window and note the [Train] button in yellow. Remember that this button will not be activated when you do not have any Fury of Connous EXP.
Press [Train] to view the Extra Skill-training window.
This is where you can advance the rank of your Fury of Connous or other related skills.
A. Advancing the Fury of Connous Rank
The [Advance] button will appear when you’ve fulfilled the EXP requirements of the Fury of Connous. Click the said button to advance your Fury of Connous rank.
* You will not be able to further accumulate the Fury of Connous EXP once you have already done so.
B. Reset
Distributed EXP will be reset. However, it is important to note that you will not be able to reset if you have already pressed [OK] and completed the EXP distribution.
C. +1, +10
Enhance other related skills according to the stats indicated.
D. MAX
Enhance a skill to the maximum available within your EXP.
E. OK
When you finish distributing the stats amongst skills of lower ranks, press [OK] to confirm. Remember that you will not be able to revert the changes once you confirm. If you wish to further distribute, please press the [Reset] button.
4. Conclusion
As the descendents of the ancient Irinids, the Elves are able to fully illustrate their abilities when in Beast Mode.
