3 New Combat Skills have been added to the Close Combat Talent.
Bash - Supplements the slow attack speed of Smash. Use this skill to find weaknesses and chain progressively stronger attacks.
Rage Impact - A powerful support skill that can only be used with a Close Combat weapon. This skill can be used to instantly make a group of enemies defenseless.
Dual Wield Mastery - Allows you to equip two weapons. This skill is automatically learned whenever a weapon is equipped in each hand.
This skill does not affect weapons that were created as a pair.
Combat Skills Revamped
Giant Swing - Cooldown time is now 4 seconds regardless of skill rank.
Stomp - Area of Effect damage now damages all enemies surrounding the user at all skill ranks. The amount of damage done is 50% of the character's base damage at Rank F and 100% at Rank 1. Range will also increase at higher skill ranks.
Final Hit - Attack Speed is increased. Bonus Damage increases at each skill rank.
Assault Slash - Deals bonus Area of Effect damage to enemies within radius of the targeted enemy. Bonus Area of Effect damage increases as the skill is trained.
Charge - When using a melee weapon, Charge will trigger Area of Effect damage. Those caught in the splash damage radius will not be pushed back, knocked down, or have their aggression triggered. The Radius of the Area of Effect damage and the amount of bonus damage inflicted increases as the skill is trained.
Smash - Using this skill now has a probability to trigger specific effects when used with melee weapons. The same special effect does not stack, however other types of items or attacks that deal similar damage will stack normally.
Swords may trigger 5 second bleeding effects, increasing the amount of bonus damage done as the skill is trained to higher ranks.
Blunt Weapons may trigger Prevent Magic and Alchemy effects, which increases in duration as the skill is trained to higher ranks.
Axes may trigger Reduce Defense and Protection effect, which increases in duration and effect level as the skill is trained to higher ranks.
Defense - Characters can now run with a shield equipped while Defense is active, and walk if no shield is equipped.
Counter Attack - If melee weapons are equipped in one or both hands, the character will walk if no shield is equipped. If no melee weapons are equipped the character will remain stationary.
Heavy Armor Mastery - Stun resistance attribute has been added to the skill. As Heavy Armor Mastery is trained to higher ranks, the chance of successfully resisting stuns increases. Additionally, the Defense and Magic Defense attributes earned per rank have been increased. The maximum Defense for Rank 1 is now 40, and the maximum Magic Defense for Rank 1 is now 20.
Light Armor Mastery - The Defense and Magic Defense attributes earned per rank have been increased. The maximum Defense for Rank 1 is now 20, and the maximum Magic Defense for Rank 1 is now 16.
Humans and Elves now have access to new two-handed blunt and axe weapons.
