Shadow Mission Preview
ANNOUNCE 2/3/2010 10:47:03 AM The barrier between the Shadow Realm and Erinn has been breached. Now hordes of dark warriors threaten to wash into Erinn, sowing death and destruction in their wake. Taillteann, the lone bastion that guards Erinn from this new threat, beckons brave alchemists, soldiers, and magicians to make a stand against the Shadow Realm. Do you have what it takes to battle against the unrelenting legions of the Shadow Realm?
To find out, visit the Shadow Mission board located near Andras in Taillteann. Shadow Missions are a cross between party quests and dungeons. It’s best to participate in Shadow Missions with trusted allies. Once you form a party, check to ensure your convictions are true and then head to Stonehenge, northwest of Taillteann. Interact with the altar there to be transported to the Shadow Realm.
You’ll have your choice of a variety of Shadow Missions. Depending on your tastes, you can defend allied NPCs against an onslaught of attackers or participate in a larger battlefront. It’s up to you.
Defensive missions place three allied NPCs under your protective custody. Your job is to keep all of the NPCS alive. If you don’t, you fail the mission, and one less body stands between the shadow warriors and Erinn.
Assault missions ask you to lay siege to a Shadow Taillteann, clearing the dark city of its evil inhabitants.
Seek and destroy missions require you to flush shadow forces out of their hiding places and then culminates in a boss fight in the town square of Shadow Taillteann.
