Giant Beginner Quests
quest
The strong and enormous Giants, who are in an antagonistic relationship with the Elves, live in Physis, located in North Iria.

Let’s learn about the region of Physis and the Tutorial Quests of the Giants.

1. NPC Meriel’s Tutorial Quest

After creating a Giant character, you will meet Meriel along with the Crystal Ball. She may seem tiny in comparison to the enormous Giants, but she plays a prominent role, much like Ffion and Tin, in providing necessary information on how a Giant should explore the continent of Iria.

You can proceed with the Tutorial Quest of the Giants if you speak with Meriel.

If you would like to go to the Giant Village directly without going through the Tutorial Quest, speak with Meriel using the keyword, [Go to the Giant Village].

If you click on the Crystal Ball upon speaking with Meriel, you will receive your first Quest.

* If you skip the Tutorial Quest and go directly to the Giant Village, you will not be able to earn the EXP rewarded for completing the quest.

1) Hunting Foxes

The first quest you will receive is [Hunting Foxes]. Hunting is an essential skill you must learn to survive as a Giant.

Go to the place that has the Quest mark after speaking with Meriel.

Report to the Crystal Ball after defeating 1 Little Brown Physis Fox to complete a simple Quest.

This is how you will proceed with all Tutorial Quests with Meriel.

2) Find the Sitting Statue

Let’s look into the method of exploration.

There are many Dungeons and Artifacts in Physis, and it is your objective in this Quest to find the Stone Statue in the Tutorial region.

After gathering information by speaking with Meriel, you will easily be able to find the Stone Statue if you follow the Quest mark.

You will see the clip which indicates that you have found the Stone Statue, after which you can complete the quest by reporting your discovery to the Crystal Ball.

3) Sketch the Statue

Once you complete [Find the Sitting Statue] Quest, you will receive the [Sketch the Statue] Quest. Again, you can follow the Quest mark to find the Stone Statue.

Right click on the Sketch Paper in your inventory and click on ‘Use’ to sketch the Stone Statue.

* You can use the Sketch Paper item or press ‘N’ to use the Sketch Action.

Deliver the [Sketch of the Stone Statue] to the Crystal Ball upon successfully sketching the Stone Statue.

4) Bring a Fragment of the Statue

This Quest is to bring the fragment of the Statue you have sketched. After receiving the [Bring a Fragment of the Statue] Quest, go to the Stone Statue.

With both of your hands empty, click on the Stone Statue to collect a fragment. Once you have successfully collected the [Stone Fragment] item, complete the Quest by reporting to the Crystal Ball.

5) Find the Hidden Pillar Nearby

Once you complete [Bring a Fragment of the Statue] Quest, you will be given [Find the Hidden Pillar Nearby] Quest. The objective of this Quest is for you to use the L-Rod to find the hidden pillar.

Wear the L-Rod and note the area of the field where the L-Rod begins to beam and sound.

The sound of the L-Rod will become louder as you get closer to the hidden pillar, and if it makes a loud beep 4 consecutive times, that means that the pillar is nearby! Press ‘X’ on your keyboard when you reach the area where the pillar is hidden to excavate the site.

When you find the pillar, it will have a bright light surrounding it. Because the artifacts found in Iria may change or even disappear over time, you must constantly keep an eye on them.

6) Alter the Landscape

Let’s move on to the last Tutorial Quest, [Alter the Landscape].

Using special equipments, you can alter the landscape of the snowiest region in Physis and discover various forms of life as well as unique Artifacts.

Equip yourself with a [Snowfield L-Rod] which you can receive by talking to Meriel.

Follow the Quest mark and click the landscape you want to alter after using the Land Maker Action to make an ice hole. Complete the Quest by reporting to the Crystal Ball.

2. Spirit Hammer Eiry

Upon completion of the Tutorial Quest, you will receive a Spirit Hammer Eiry from Meriel of which a beginner Giant can make good use.

Right click on the Spirit Hammer and select [Talk] or press the shortcut key ‘/’ to speak with Eiry. Eiry will notify you of regional information or methods of survival in Vales, the village of the Giants.

Once you have become somewhat familiar with life in Vales, you will part from Eiry.

3. Go to Physis

The Giants begin in the Physis region and can easily go to Vales, the village of the Giants.

Then what must someone from a race other than the Giants do to get to Physis?

You will reach Physis after passing through the Nubes Mountains north of the Qilla Base Camp.

If you head north from the Qilla Base Camp, you will find the entrance to the Nubes Mountains.

You will find an Underground Maze if you follow the Nubes Mountains up north.
In order to reach Physis, you must pass through this monstrous Underground Maze.

If you keep going north through the Underground Maze, you will reach a small plain called Solea.

Solea is a rest area by the Underground Maze, where you can save a Warp Point.

In order to pass through the Underground Maze that leads you to Physis more easily from the Nubes Mountains, head northwest.

As you head northwest, you will notice your surroundings becoming greener.

After passing through the second Underground Maze, you will be greeted with the white snowfield of Physis.

Physis is comprised of Sella Beach, Lunae Valley, Silva Forest, the frozen Reus River, and Vales—the village of the Giants. However, keep in mind that the Giants and the Elves display strong feelings of opposition toward each other.

* Elves or Humans that decide to side with the Elves in Vales will be attacked by Giant Guards, especially if they speak to an NPC or are simply found wandering around Vales.

4. In Conclusion

The Giants have many other unique characteristics than what has been mentioned here.

They can mount humans that support the Giants and make weapons out of the trees nearby. They can also stomp their feet to attack, or even enjoy ice fishing.
