*All of the quests related to Giant Beast Mode are sequential, so please make sure to press the [Complete] button in the Quest window when you wish to complete the quest.

1. What is Giant Beast Mode?

Unlike the Humans that transform into a heavily-armored state, the Giants return to their primitive nature as they enter the Beast Mode. Once the transformation for the Beast Mode is complete, the characteristics of the Giant will highly resemble that of a beast, temporarily sporting enhanced stats and attributes.

The Beast Mode also allows the Giants a special skill, the [Full Swing].

2. Acquiring the Giant Beast Mode Skill

The Giant Beast Mode skill can be acquired through a quest which will require your character to discover the vestiges of the ancient Giants.

1) Krug’s Summoning Order

Upon your arrival in Erinn, you will receive a quest from Krug, the King of Vales, who will ask you to come and see him.

As you speak with Krug, you will hear that it is crucial to maintain the ancient Giants’ heritage in order to protect Iria, once a peaceful and harmonious continent, from impending dangers.

You will receive the [Ancient Giant’s Power] keyword when you finish your conversation with Krug.

Speak with Taunes, one of the NPCs in Vales, using the [Ancient Giant’s Power] keyword; he will respond rather differently than other NPCs around. What is it that Taunes knows that other NPCs don’t?

2) The Giant’s Honor

An owl will deliver you a new quest after a few moments of your conversation with Taunes. Speak with Krug as the quest instructs, and he will suggest a test to see whether you have what it takes to inherit the power of the ancient Giants.

The first test you must undergo to prove yourself to Krug is sketching a designated monster and delivering the sketch to him. You must sketch the Giant Bandersnatch, the Boss monster of the regular Par Ruins.

The sketch paper needed at the time of using the Sketch Action can be purchased from Krug.

The regular Par Ruins is located northeast of Vales, the town of the Giants.

It is comprised of a single floor, where you will encounter monsters such as Old Ice Mimic, Bandersnatch, White Wicked Penguin, and Small Ice Worm which can all be easily defeated as long as you utilize your combat skills efficiently.

You will meet the Giant Bandersnatch when you reach the Boss Room.
Remember, you can sketch something only when it is stationary; you will fail at sketching if it moves is in the state of unconsciousness.

Once you’ve sketched the designated monster, report back to Krug.

Talk to Krug with the sketch of the Giant Bandersnatch stored in your Inventory, which will then get automatically delivered to Krug.

As your second test, Krug will ask you to bring him a sketch of the Stone Horse Keeper.
You can find the Stone Horse Keeper in the Boss Room of the regular Karu Forest Ruins; you can also find it in Karu Forest Ruins generated by the Glowing Pot-Belly Spider Statue, the Glowing Stone Hound State, the Glowing Stone Bison Statue, Glowing Stone Zombie Statue, or the Glowing Stone Imp Statue.

The Karu Forest Ruins is located in the Karu Forest in the continent of Iria. The ruins in this area constantly disappear and are found in different locations; hence you must follow the indication on your Minimap to find the ruins.

When you reach the Boss Room, you will find the Stone Horse Keeper, the Boss monster of regular Karu Forest Ruins.
Begin sketching as soon as you find the Stone Horse Keeper stationary.

When you successfully sketch the Stone Horse Keeper, return to Krug with the sketch in your possession; you will complete the quest upon which you will acquire the [Book of the Ancient Giants] keyword. Krug will instruct you to talk to Alexina at Qilla Base Camp.
